Our small town is on a come back
About our mission
Nestled along the serene Kalamazoo River, the village of Concord in Michigan may be small, but its spirit is mighty. A dedicated group of local small business owners united under the name River Town Revitalization, are on a mission to restore and reinvigorate our beloved town, breathing new life into its streets, buildings, and community.
Comprised of passionate small business owners, this grassroots collective is committed to turning Concord’s historic downtown into a vibrant hub for both residents and visitors. At the heart of our initiative is a focused effort to encourage the purchase and renovation of vacant buildings. Our group believes that the restoration of these empty buildings is the key to attracting new businesses, fostering renewed community pride, and creating a welcoming environment for the next generation of Concord’s residents.
By working together, River Town Revitalization aims to transform Concord from a quiet, overlooked village into a thriving community that celebrates its rich history while embracing new opportunities for growth. From the renovation of charming storefronts to the creation of communal spaces along the picturesque riverbanks, our group of small business owners are passionate about revitalizing every corner of our town—one project at a time.
Our vision is clear: to create a Concord that not only honors its past but looks to the future with optimism. Whether it’s through fostering local businesses, hosting community events, or collaborating with local artists and builders, River Town Revitalization is determined to make Concord a place where people want to live, work, and explore.
Our goal and mission can be summed up into one simple phrase:
Strive to thrive!
